Johnson Laminating and Coating Inc., manufacturer of Johnson Window Films, has completed a two month long plant upgrade and modernization of its manufacturing facility.
The overhaul, intended to enhance production efficiencies, film clarity and overall product quality includes improvements to plant equipment and air filtration systems, as well as the construction of a new research and development facility.
In addition to the enhanced products, Steve Chambers, vice president of marketing says the company will be expanding its architectural line in the coming months. The upgrade was in line with CEO Scott Davidson’s goal to “continually improve the quality, durability and performance of our products.”
“Modernizing and enhancing our plant enables us to produce films that look better and last longer,” says Davidson. “In fact, the film rolling out of our plan since the modernization looks fantastic. The research and development facility was added to facilitate investments in new film technologies and the development of several new and improved products we plan on introducing over the next few months and years.”
Chambers says the company has begun looking for new employees to add to its research and development team.
